I know it seems highly unlikely, but the above painting, Spoon Mountain, was inspired by Episode 1505 of Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, which bears the same name… Spoon Mountain.
I love Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood.
I love the moral lessons, the values, and the manners the show models.
I love the kindness displayed as well as the skills taught to respond to unkindness.
I especially love the notion of helpers and helping one another.
Spoon Mountain (the painting) looks closely at the contours and shape of Mother Nature and her loving and supportive relationship with Father Time.
Mother Nature is made up of myriad textures, colors and shapes, each beautiful and important in its own way.
Father Time, lovingly caressing her, helps create that beauty.
Just another example that inspiration exists all around; and love, joy and support existing everywhere, if you have the eyes to see.
